The news reports have confirmed that Simon Baker has accepted a role in a financial thriller movie called Margin Call to be produced in 2010. This Aussie sensation is currently enacting the role of Patrick Jane, a former psychic turned detective in a famous TV drama called The Mentalist. The movie, Margin Call is based on the financial crisis of 2008 wherein it depicts the lives the lives of the employees working in an investment bank.

Baker, who has been playing an easy go character in The Mentalist, will be enacting as a cruel broker who is more focused on winning even at the cost of his employees.
