The return of the Mentalist is not a rumor. Malcolm McDowell confirmed this news. It will be premiering for the fourth season. He is a former star of clockwork Orange and had graced two episodes by making appearances. He was taking the role of a charismatic cult leader, as Brett Stiles in a crime drama.

He also confirmed that he would be doing some one or two more episodes. He says that he loved the show. He however pulled out a joke, saying that he had been disappointed. This was due to Bradley Whit ford who took up the role of Red John in the third season finale. Red John is a serial killer who is a nemesis of Patrick John.

He went ahead to say that he had thought that he maybe Red John but he isn’t. Bruno Heller, who is the Mentalist creator, confirmed that John Red’s mystical identity would be featured in the fourth season.

Thursday will be the day when the new season of the show, Mentalist will be airing.
