Patrick Jane (Simon Baker)
Patrick Jane – Portrayed by Simon Baker, Patrick Jane is a fictional character in the series “Mentalist”. Patrick used to work as a professional psychic. Jane then worked as the California Bureau of Investigation consultant after his wife and daughter were brutally murdered by Red John. Patrick is portrayed as someone who is very intelligent and good in judgement. However, he is vey childish and arrogant and occasionally tactless and blunt. Not one day is missed without him annoying the team. They even take turns on going on field work with him because of his behaviour. Despite his annoying character, Jane has developed close friendship with some of his colleagues. Patrick Jane becomes more focused and intense when it comes to dealing with Red John who is the murderer of his wife and daughter.
Born on July 30, 1969, Simon Baker stars in the fictional CBS series “The Mentalist”. The Australian actor was born on Launceston, Tasmania. Raised under the Catholic religion, his parents divorced when he was young. Baker’s acting career started when he starred in the Australian television back in 1980. His onscreen name was Simon Baker Denny. He appeared on music videos of Melissa Tkautz. He starred in series life “E Street”, “Heartbreak High” and “Home and Away” before he was relocated in the United States. Baker’s other US projects include “L.A. Confidential”, “Love from Ground Zero” and “Red Planet”.
