The Mentalist is up for its third season. Although the episode of the show for the last two seasons was smooth for its main character in the third season expect to see some changes. The season kicks off with the first episode where Patrick Jane will be rethinking about his future with CBI. This thought had been on his mind after his encounter with the probable death of Kristina Frye and Red John. The team’s first case was to investigate a murder and a high profile kidnapping case. With a lot of things going on his mind Patrick loses his focus and Lisbon needs to convince Patrick to pull it together and help them in solving the case.

In the later part of the season Patrick discovers some information from a cult leader regarding the possible death and disappearance of Red John and Kristina Frye. This information had been found true as Kristina is alive but is catatonic. Patrick Jane had been kidnapped and the CBI team led by Lisbon to find out who kidnapped Patrick. They then realize that they need to search for all those cases from before to be able to find the kidnapper. Upon seeing the list they found out that anyone they have encountered will be a suspect. The team also investigates a double murder that is believed to be the job of a serial killer named Caveman. Expect to see more from the mentalist season three.
