It’s hard not to be hypnotized by Patrick Jane’s tantalizing eyes and his charisma. Jane’s new boss, Agent Madeline Hightower is one of the many people who fell under Jane’s spell.

Aunjanue Ellis, who plays as Agent Madeline Hightower spilled the beans that Hightower is truly fascinated by Jane. It’s not a lustful sort of liking but kind of respect and acceptance of Jane’s strategy in problem solving. She further explains that there is just something in Patrick Jane that the new boss Madeline Hightower sees in him that reminds her of herself.

The role of Agent Hightower is not merely a sex kitten in the show. She portrays a woman in power with great respect for other people’s views. And with high regard for her job and her position. When she works she gives her 101 percent focus and attention and she means business. She came from the Fresno office for one thing and that is to clean up the mess that Minelli, played by Gregory Itzin, left. The office was not in a good shape and needed a person who is intelligent, sharp, politically knowledgeable and cunning in a bureaucratic way. Agent Hightower is a former Secret Service which makes her more qualified for the job. After all, the mess that Minelli (Gregory Itzin) made in the CBI requires a lot more than just hardwork and initiative it needs a human being with supernatural powers and a person who is smart and who knows what she is into and knows how to fix a mess without having any doubts.

Jane and Hightower know how big the problems they are facing in the CBI but they also knew their capabilities and they have no second thoughts that they can solve everything. However, the positive vibration between Jane and Hightower is not gaining a positive reaction from Lisbon, played by Robin Tunney. Hmmm … could this be a love triangle? Or perhaps this will bring division to the already messed up CBI. This is surely something to look forward to.

Lisbon is behind the back of Jane making sure that Jane will simply be Jane but at the same time making sure that Jane will not go too far, preventing damage to the CBI. Hightower, with her Secret Service training and experience, noticed immediately the affection and friendship between the two people. Jane often bends the rules if needed but if it also affects Lisbon he avoids doing so.

Rigsby played by Owain Yeoman is romancing with Van Pelt portrayed by Amanda Righetti. When hightower found out about this she gave them a word of ultimatum. Ellis told her to be careful not to make enemies. Well, Ellis is right after all humans live only once. Better to make friends than enemies.
